2015 BRAIN INJURY CANADA NATIONAL AWARDS

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO / BRAIN INJURY CANADA EMPLOYER AWARD
We are pleased to announce the University of Toronto/ Brain Injury Canada Employer Award, recognizing employers who have assisted brain injury survivors as they return to work after injury. Employers must be nominated by a brain injury survivor. Award recipients will be honoured at the awards ceremony held during the Brain Injury Canada Annual Conference, September 30 - October 1-2, 2015, in Montreal, Quebec.

This award is jointly supported by the Brain Injury Association of Canada and the Acquired Brain Injury Research Lab through a research program funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Chair in Gender, Work and Health.

AWARD OF MERIT
This award is granted to recognize volunteers who have exhibited exemplary leadership and made significant contributions to advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

DEBBIE AND TREVOR GREENE AWARD OF HONOUR
This award is granted to an individual who has exhibited outstanding, unusual courage in their own personal battle in dealing with the effects of an acquired brain injury, while making a valuable contribution to advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

DR. JANE GILLETT RESEARCH AWARD
This award is granted to an individual or organization for their outstanding contribution to advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
This prestigious award, created in 2004, is granted to a volunteer who distinguished herself or himself by making an outstanding contribution to promote and advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

CORPORATE AWARDS

CORPORATE AWARD
This award is granted to corporations for their significant contribution in sponsoring a program to promote and advance the cause of acquired brain injury Canada.

CORPORATE LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is granted to a corporation for their leadership in sponsoring an event or a program to promote and advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

NATIONAL PARTNER AWARD
This national award is granted to a corporation or organization in recognition of their special, significant contribution to promote and advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

GENERAL AWARDS

FUNDRAISING AWARD
This award is granted to an individual, group or organization for their outstanding efforts in fundraising to advance the cause of brain injury in Canada.

COMMUNICATION AWARD
This award is granted to an individual, group or organization for their outstanding efforts in promoting, advertising or communicating to advance the cause of brain injury in Canada.

PREVENTION AWARD
This award is granted to an individual, group or organization to recognize the significant support of educational and prevention programs to advance the cause of brain injury in Canada.

YOUTH AWARD
This award is granted to an individual 18 and younger to recognize exemplary leadership and who has made significant contributions to advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD
This award is granted to an individual, group or organization for their outstanding support, devotion or friendship to advance the cause of brain injury in Canada.

OTHER AWARDS
The Board may, from time to time, create other awards that are supportive of or consistent with the objects of the association.
