Phase two of the Ontario Safe Sport Helmet Initiative.
The ThinkFirst Foundation and the Ministry of Health Promotion in Ontario are pleased to announce the activation of phase two of the Ontario Safe Sport Helmet Initiative. This Initiative, launched around Ontario in August 2007, saw 1000 bicycle helmets go to children and youth in four cities during phase one. Phase two is now under way and ThinkFirst is accepting applications for sport helmets from community centres, recreation centres, or not-for-profit youth-focused groups that offer sport or recreation programs which target those in financial need. This phase will fund the distribution of approximately 6000 helmets to facilities around Ontario. For more information and to download the application form, please visit www.thinkfirst.ca.
