How to Submit Abstracts
An abstract must be submitted on to BIAC by either email or fax. Abstracts may be submitted, and presentations made, in either French or English.
PREPARATION OF ABSTRACT
- -The abstract should contain a concise statement of:
- -Intent of the presentation;
- -Content subjects and a brief overview of each subject;
- -Multimedia portions of presentation;
- -Conclusion;
- -Clear indication if a question and answer or discussion will follow.
Language Presentation will be presented in either French or English.
An abstract is not a formal publication and therefore should not include literature references or grant acknowledgments, etc.
SUBJECT CATEGORIES
For the purpose of review and programming only, abstracts will be divided into categories. Indicate the category you have chosen.
Strategy: Successful strategies to facilitate a resumption of normal activities by increasing self-reliance in daily living over time (short term and long term) for people living with an acquired brain injury.
Education: Education programs, reintegration methods over time and tools for caregivers and stakeholders who provide services to people living with an acquired brain injury.
Prevention: Strategies and innovation promoting prevention of acquired brain injury.
Support: Resumption of activity and social integration through a support network of family, friends, caregivers, health professionals, etc for people living with an acquired brain injury.

The National Conference Committee reserves the right to decide the format of presentation on the basis of time and space available.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee and you will be notified of abstract acceptance along with details on the form of presentation by March 31, 2009.
Presenting authors must register by May 1st, 2009 to ensure inclusion in the conference.
