Savard returned too soon after concussion
Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard says he won’t make the mistake again of returning to the NHL too soon.
Savard talked to reporters Saturday in Boston just days after conflicting reports came out in regard to post-concussion symptoms he’s been dealing with.
Savard said he came back too early when he played for the Bruins in the playoffs after his March 7 concussion, the result of a hit to the head from Pittsburgh forward Matt Cooke.

Are you among crazed spectators at a boxing match? Far from it — these comments are coming from “normal” parents at middle school or high school football games around the country. Worse yet, they may even be thrown around at Pee Wee Youth football games on Saturday mornings.
As a neurologist who specializes in brain injury and more importantly as a father and grandfather who has witnessed this phenomenon, I have a “dog in this fight.”
